School Meals

All our school meals are prepared by Everton Primary School.  The menu is detailed below and is available in a downloadable leaflet:

School Meals/Milk Information (inc Universal Infant Free School Meals)

All children in Foundation Stage Two and Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2) are entitled to a Universal Infant  Free School Meal (UIFSM) under current legislation. 

Currently children who are full time and under 5 years of age are also entitled to milk.  Please visit for further information.

Information about UIFSM

If you continue to have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the School Manager.

School Meal Charges: From April 2017

Please note the increase in cost per child meal from £2.22 to £2.30 and adult meal from £2.66 to £2.75, as of Monday 17 April 2017, or £11.50 per week per child meal.

School meals should be paid for at the start of each week and money or cheques maybe given directly to the School Manager or sent via the Class Teacher.  Cheques should be made payable to NCC re Mattersey Primary School.

Unfortunately, if school meals have not been paid for for one week, you will be asked to send a packed lunch in for your child until the outstanding monies have been paid.

Packed Lunches

As a Healthy School, we respectfully request that packed lunches do not contain any chocolate bars or fizzy drinks.  Biscuits and cakes may be included in a packed lunch, but please limit these to one item per day.

Morning Playtime Snacks (Tuck)

Snacks may be purchased from the school kitchen or children may bring their own healthy snack into school to eat during morning break.  Again, we request that these are restricted to fruit, fruit bars, yoghurt, etc which are appropriate.  Please do not send crisps, chocolate bars or biscuits.  If these are sent into school, they will be returned at the end of the school day.
